my mother worked for the st. landry school system as a cafeteria worker in morrow, louisina for 35 years, she became sick and had to go into the hospital, but she was still working at the time and was 74 years old. my brother was her benefactor to handle her estate, and he helped her file for rretirement with the school board; as she was sent to a nursing home. after she passed, we were told that we would not receive any of her retirment money; as she had died 1 day to soon from her retirement date. how can this be?
