i have only recently become interested in trucking but i'm pretty sure i want to get into the transportation industry in some capacity as the pay and the freedom of the road appeal to me very much. i am still very niave at this point, however, and i'm trying to figure out all the terminology and what style of truck would be the best fit for me. can you point me in the right direction as far as training resources (free would be my preference) for light/medium trucks? (anything but tractor-trailers) are there any companies that offer entry level posistions that could train me for free as well? (delivey driver, courier, etc?) what are the easiest jobs in the transportation industry? what are the best companies to start out with? the best ones to grow with? also, i have a non-violent misdimeanor, do you think this could be a barrier to my employment within the trucking industry? i thank you in advance for your help in aiding me with my research.
