American Renal Associates provides dialysis services to patients suffering from chronic kidney failure, also known as end-stage renal disease (ESRD). It has approximately 200 outpatient clinics in about 25 states and the District of Columbia. Florida, where it operates about 40 clinics, is its largest market; other leading markets include Texas and Georgia (about 20 clinics each). The company operates all of its clinics under a joint venture business model, partnering with nephrologists to develop and run the facilities. One of the fastest-growing dialysis services providers in the country, American Renal Associates went public in April 2016.
