General Finance Corporation wants to help you get your hands on some equipment. The investment company is building up a portfolio of specialty financing and equipment leasing companies in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific. It made its first acquisition of RWA Holdings and its subsidiaries (collectively known as Royal Wolf) in 2007. Royal Wolf leases and sells portable storage containers, portable buildings, and freight containers to customers in the defense, mining, moving and storage, and road and rail markets in Australia. General Finance acquired Pac-Van, a provider of modular buildings and mobile offices, in 2008.
