Mac-Gray operates debit card- and coin-operated washers and dryers located in about 88,000 apartment buildings, condos, dorms, hotels, and public housing complexes in more than 40 states and the District of Columbia. Additionally, Mac-Gray distributes equipment to laundromats, hotels, hospitals, and restaurants as part of its business. Laundry facilities account for the majority of the company's earnings. New York's CSC ServiceWorks, which specializes in providing air vending services and multi-family and commercial laundry facilities, acquired Mac-Gray in 2014 in a deal valued at about $524 million.
