Perfumania Holdings makes dollars with scents. The holding company owns scent-seller Perfumania, which runs some 350 stores in about three dozen states (about a third are located in California, Florida, and Texas) and Puerto Rico, offering about 300 fragrances (including its own Nature's Elements) at discounted prices for men and women. Perfumania also sells cosmetics, skin care, and bath and body items. The company sells perfume online at perfumania.com and operates Scents of Worth, which sells fragrances in retail stores on consignment. Perfumania, which announced plans in late 2011 to acquire Parlux, is also a wholesale supplier of fragrances to other retailers through its Quality King Fragrance unit.
