Texas Gas Transmission transmits natural gas from Texas to states in the South and Midwest through the 5,900-mile natural gas pipeline system it owns and operates. The pipeline has the capacity to deliver 3.8 billion cu. ft. of gas a day to customers in eight states; major customers include Anadarko Petroleum, Louisville Gas and Electric, and Memphis Light, Gas and Water. Texas Gas uses third-part pipelines to supply gas to off-system markets in the Northeast. The company also owns nine underground gas storage fields in Indiana and Kentucky, with a storage capacity of 180 billion cu. ft. of gas. Texas Gas is a subsidiary of Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP.
