my last position ended in 2010, and i have simply attended school full-time since. therefore, most employers simply view me as a college graduate and neglect my 5 years of experience. i also live in south florida which isn't huge on tech and dod is practically non-existent, so the career search has been really hard.
i have no other offers or even interviews on the table right now. i'd really like to start working now, get my foot in the door, and getting more experience. i don't mind earning $50k for a short time, however i feel like i might be committing some kind of career suicide, by accepting a low salary and not continuing my java experience.
should i take this job, or am i better off starting from scratch?
