B Communications (formerly 012 Smile.Communications) keeps Israelis happy by connecting them with each other and the world. The company provides domestic and international telephone and broadband Internet services to residential and business customers. It also offers voice calling over its Internet connections and wireless Web access via Wi-Fi hot spots. Top clients include banks and cellular carriers, as well as the Israeli Government. Eurocom Communications, through majority-owned subsidiary Internet Gold, owns about three-quarters of B Communications. Chairman Shaul Elovitch is the controlling shareholder and chairman of Eurocom. The company sold its operations to Ampal-American Israel for about $318 million in 2009.
