Denison Mines explores for uranium, base, and precious metals primarily in Canada's the Athabasca Basin, but also in Mongolia in Asia, and Zambia in Africa. The company holds a 22% stake in the McClean Lake uranium mill in northern Saskatchewan, one of the world's largest processing facilities. It also holds the Phoenix deposit on its 60%-owned Wheeler River project in the Athabasca Basin region of Saskatchewan. The company engages in mine decommissioning and environmental services through its Denison Environmental Services division and acts as the manager of Uranium Participation Corp.
