First National Bank Alaska is a financial anchor in Anchorage. Founded in 1922, the bank is one of the state's oldest and largest financial institutions. With about 30 branches throughout The Last Frontier (and about 20 ATMs in rural communities), the bank offers traditional deposit products such as checking and savings accounts, CDs, and IRAs, as well as loans and mortgages, credit and debit cards, and trust and investment management services. The family of longtime president Daniel Cuddy owns a majority of First National Bank Alaska; he took the helm of the bank in 1951.
