General Electric Capital Corporation
General Electric Capital (GE Capital) is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric and a provider of a select range of financial services and products to businesses of all sizes around the globe. GE Capital's five operating segments provide commercial loans and leases, credit cards, home and personal loans, and aircraft leasing, among other services. Through its two largest segments, Commercial Lending and Leasing (CLL) and Consumer, the company provides financing to companies, municipalities, and infrastructure projects, as well as credit to consumers, small businesses, and commercial customers. General Electric announced in mid-2015 that it would sell GE Capital to focus on manufacturing.
