The company, a subsidiary of education lender SLM (better known as Sallie Mae), specializes in the recovery of education-related receivables. It also serves government, telecommunications, utility, retail, and other clients. One of the nation's largest university-focused collection agencies, GRC performs collections for more than 1,200 clients, many of which are higher education institutions located throughout the US. GRC operates offices in Cincinnati; Horseheads, New York; Indianapolis; and Muncie, Indiana. It also has smaller sales offices throughout the country.
