Giga-tronics has a cool gig in electronics. Its three units -- Giga-tronics Instruments, Microsource, and ASCOR -- make test, measurement, and control equipment for both commercial and military customers. The units make synthesizers and power measurement instruments used in electronic warfare, radar, satellite, and telecommunications devices; switching systems for aircraft and automated test equipment; and oscillators and filters used in microwave instruments. Top customers include the US Department of Defense and its prime contractors (62% of sales). More than three-fifths of the company's sales are to customers located in the US.
