TransGlobe Energy has gone across the globe to the Middle East to capture energy resources. The oil and gas exploration and production company's main interests are in Yemen and in Egypt. TransGlobe has net proved and probable reserves of 16.5 million barrels of oil equivalent. It has interests in three production-sharing agreements in Yemen in the Tasour field, the western Masila Basin, and the An Nagyah field. In Egypt it is focusing on production from the West Gharib and West Bakr areas, located onshore in the western Gulf of Suez rift basin. The company has sold its Canadian assets in order to focus on its North African operations.
