Incorporated in Bermuda, White Mountains Insurance Group enjoys the island's tax-mild climate, but slogs out the winters from its corporate headquarters in New Hampshire. The company provides insurance and reinsurance products and services through its US operating office's main division: majority-owned OneBeacon Insurance (specialty and commercial property/casualty policies sold through independent agents in the US). In 2016 White Mountains sold its other main division -- Sirius International Group, a provider of property/casualty insurance and reinsurance -- to Singapore investment firm CM International for $2.6 billion.
